Projects

During their visit to Uganda in April 2006 Stefan Jaksch and Magdalena Tauber travelled to all the groups and projects which benefit from the collected money donated to UAAH.ev. All projects and groups reported about their activities, some in writing and very detailed, giving business plans and suggestions for future investments. We are giving a brief account of these reports on the following pages. They give an extended overview of the single projects and the people behind the ambitious projects.

All projects are situated in and around Fort Portal, a small town in the Southwest of Uganda (see map). Fr. Fred Tusingire and Fr. Hilary Kinyata coordinate and supervise in a certain sense all projects through their NGOs (RENA – „Rwenzori East Neighbors Association“ and FOCAV – „Friends Of Care Vision“ respectively).

The church and the services connected to the church create the major part of the social network available to the people. Both priests therefore are confronted daily with people from all walks of life. In their leisure time they take care of all the donations and how the money is divided between the projects. Moreover they both make sure that the money is used effectively and we can therefore be sure that every cent reaches the right people.
